Vipico and the Da Nang A20 Plot: Two Court Wins, One Unbuilt Tower

Vipico won a Da Nang land auction in June 2017, had the result cancelled by the city eighteen months later, sued, and won twice in court. What it has not publicly done, nine years after the auction and six years after the final judgment, is finish a building on the land. The public record documents the legal fight in unusual detail and the construction record barely at all, and a buyer looking at anything sold under the Vipico name needs to read both halves.

Two entities, one brand

The name covers more than one registered company, which is the first thing to establish before signing anything.

Vietnam's tax registry lists CÔNG TY CỔ PHẦN VIPICO, a joint-stock company, under tax code 0103038882, registered on 26 August 2011, with its head office at 36D Nguyen Thai Hoc, Dien Bien ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi. The registry names Dang Quoc Viet as legal representative. A second entry, CÔNG TY TNHH MTV VIPICO, a single-member limited liability company, carries tax code 0104033560.
