TotalEnergies Staff Housing Cooperative and Louisville at Eko Atlantic: The Delivery Record So Far
Four years after it was first unveiled, the Louisville development at Eko Atlantic City has finished its piling and nothing has been handed over. That is the short answer for anyone looking at the project behind TotalEnergies Staff Housing Cooperative Multipurpose Society Ltd. The cooperative has a named lender, a named contractor, a signed facility and a construction programme with a stated length. What it does not yet have is a completed building.
The distinction matters because the two public milestones in this project describe it differently, and a buyer reading only the most recent one would get the wrong idea about scale.
What was announced, and when
The Guardian reported in November 2022 that the cooperative was unveiling Louisville as a development of 300 residential homes across two towers, with a sports centre, retail outlets and other shared facilities, at Eko Atlantic City in Lagos. The same report named ITB Nigeria Limited as the company building it, named TotalEnergies Nigeria Limited as a partner committed to the project, and quoted Louis Ogbeifun, the cooperative's president.
